Truck Rules 2017 REV 1
Any 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 Ton Truck or SUV.
All glass, side windows, rear windows, headlights and taillights, must be removed before reaching the track. Rolling down windows is not permitted.
Cars must have a seatbelt and working brakes. MANDATORY
Front Windshield Bar is MANDATORY and is limited to a 2” wide x 1/4" thick strap or a chain/9 wire loop

RADIATOR AND CORE SUPPORT
1. Radiator must be in stock position
2. Any automotive type radiator can be used. Aluminum Radiators are LEGAL.
3. No homemade radiators allowed
4. No reserve tanks and no added cooling capacity.
5. One electric fan, mounted to the radiator, may be used.
6. DO NOT MOVE CORE SUPORT
7. Factory condenser or 24" wide by 1/4" thick radiator protector
BODY
1. No body seams may be welded. No metal may be added.
2. No doubling of body panels allowed, no added metal allowed.
3. Fenders may be bolted together. Max of 10 3/8” BOLTS ABOVE THE FENDER WELL.
4. Doors and Tailgate may be welded solid with 3"x1/4" strapping
5. Cab can be welded and/or bolted to bed.
6. You may have a spreader bar above the rear wheel humps, but it can not attach to cage.
7. You may replace all body bolts with upto 1" bolt. 1" space between body and frame required
Suspension
1. Suspension may be welded solid
2. You can run a all thread shock or a 2x2 square tube spacer on a leaf sprung truck.
3. Leaf springs must mount in factory hangers and mounts (any homemade or alterations must be approved prior to show)
4. Rear leafs can have upto 12 leafs and 5 clamps, front can have upto 6 leaf springs 5 clamps.
Hoods
MUST BE OPEN AT INSPECTION!
1. Hoods must have two (2) holes, at least four (4) inches in diameter on each side of the carburetor. Not directly on top of the carburetor. If the hood is removed, either the fan or fan belt must be removed.
2. Hoods, trunks, and tailgates must be open during inspection.
3. Hoods may be secured by 2 pieces of 1" all thread outboard the radiator. Cannot be sleeved.
5. Hoods can be held shut with “one” of the following but not both,
A (8) 2” long pieces of 2” x 2” angle with a single 3/8” bolt thru them
B (8) pieces of # 9 wire attaching hood to fender
Tailgate and Bed
1.Tailgate can be welded solid with 3 x 1/4" strap on outside only
2. You may drop the tailgate down
3. You may mount the rear bumper in the bed
4. Bed bolts can be replaced with upto 1" bolts or all thread 6x6 washer on top and bottom.
5. spreader bar above the wheel hump is permitted 3" round or 3"x3" bolted or welded to bedside
6. NO WEDGE BEDS
Cage
1. Cage made of maximum 4" pipe or 4"x4" square tube
2. Must be 5" off firewall
3. 4 down bars that can attach to the frame. Nothing angling outside the firewall to frame, must be straight up and down.
4. Roll over bar is mandatory
5. Cage may extend into the bed to the cab side of the wheel humps. (nothing further back)
6. The cage is for driver's safety not to reinforce the truck.
Frames
1. Frames are to remain stock except the following modifications
2. You may not shorten the frames
3. You can box the front and rear frame for the first 6" to aid in mounting your bumpers... do not abuse this.
Bumpers
1. Car bumpers are allowed, no Chrysler pointies or homemade/aftermarket bumpers.
2. Bumpers maybe loaded. Everything inside factory envelope of the bumper.
3. You may have 2 straps from the bumper to the core support. Made of 2" x 1/4" strap.
4. Bumpers can be no higher than 30" from the ground to the top of the bumper. Truck/SUV must sit level within 6" inches.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
1. Any engine or transmission may be used in any TRUCK/SUV, but must be mounted within 6” of the original motor.
2. Engine cannot protrude into the passenger compartment before the race.
3. ENGINE CRADLES ALLOWED, DP, AND HALO BARS.
4. Transmission oil coolers and engine oil coolers are permitted. They must be secure and covered inside CAB OR BED.
5. Pulley protectors are allowed, but sway bar must be removed or not able to touch before RACE. 2" SPACE BEFORE RACE.
6. HOMEMADE Gas Pedals and Shifters Are Allowed
7. Transmission brace is ok, but not to be used to strengthen the truck in anyway.
8. Aftermarket motor mounts are ok.
9. Engines can be chained in with 2 chains and no more that 2 chain links/3" iches of weld on the frame.
REAR END
1. Any automotive or aftermarket rear end 5-10 lug
2. Slider drive shaft is permitted.
3. No homemade perches or mounts, must be mounted like factory origin. (any repairs need approved by me)
TIRES/Wheels
1. Black, rubber, and round
2. Beadlocks and full wheel centers ok.
If it doesn’t say you can do it, don’t assume that you can.
ASK first or don’t do it!
If you are found to be too built for these rules, you will be given 2 options.
 A. CUT OR REMOVE ILLEGAL PARTS.
 B. LOAD ON TRAILER AND GO HOME.
Either way you will NOT RECEIVE A REFUND
